Detailed Vessel Description

This is the first GulfStar ever built! Yes the very first as a result it is over built. Got some talent with wood and a lot of time? This boat come s with a storage unit full of teak, 4X8 1/4 sheets of plywood, SS bolt a generator and all the parts to complete the boat. There is even a sonar with forward looking capabilities. So if you have the talent we've got the boat. It is a GulfStar 53, built like a tank and very strong.
I am not sure how to describe the interior of this vessel. Disaster not really, lots of potential definitely.
First thing I would do is inventory or at least sort out all the parts and put them where I could easily find them. There are boxes of new parts and rolls of wire and boxes of old parts. It is cluttered.
Then I would look at the potential and marvel at how big the below decks area is and how it is still pretty sound. I would then look at what needs to be done, which is a lot. Some new wiring has been done and there is a lot of extra wire (Marine Grade) A new ceiling, new wood work or refinishing for most of the boat. Some of the sole needs replacing, it is a parquet design easy to replace. New cushions, upholstery, maybe some rewiring and some fixtures (might be in the many many boxes. Trim around the ports.
The good news: KVH instruments, Garmin GPS new Mast and all new standing rigging, over-sized and new Chain plates. There is a rebuilt Perkins only about 20 hours on it. Hull was Awlgriped about 3 year ago and looks good, could use a washing and waxing. You will want to address the rub-rail needs to be cleaned up.
There is also a life raft included. Everything is over done and the highest quality. Sails are included.
Make no mistake this boat needs a great deal of work but what a vessel you will have when you are done.
Specific Information About The Vessel Condition

If you had to buy all the parts that are included it would well exceed $35,000. The parts are there it just needs a person to put it all together.
