The owner of this 1994 Sea Ray 400 Express appreciates the smooth ride he gets even in choppy seas.
"It is a very comfortable boat to run," the owner says. "... It's long enough ... it bridges two waves so you don't hit a trough."
It also rides well in the water, he says.
"The boat, it doesn't squat at all. It's on plane all the time. It's a very well-balanced boat," the owner says.
The owner runs the boat at between 3,000 and 3,200 revolutions per minute, which gives him a cruising speed of about 17 knots.
The owner understands the boat began in the Great Lakes and eventually made its way to Florida.

The owner understands the boat began in the Great Lakes and eventually made its way to Florida.
He states he bought the boat in Miami in 2003 and took it up the East Coast to Massachusetts, where he now keeps it. He routinely makes voyages of several hours long, and he says the two engines (Mercruiser 310-horsepower) are working well.
He says he understands the port side engine was replaced in 2008, shortly before he bought the boat. He says the port side engine has less than 200 hours on it. He says he also understands the starboard side engine was rebuilt several years ago, and he estimates it has about 700 hours on it.
The owner says he is selling the boat because he and his wife are in their retirement years and they think it's time to downsize.

POP Yachts has partnered with Boat History Report® to provide history reports on all or most of our vessels for sale.
History Reports include accident data collected from public and private sources throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. These accidents are reported to Boat History Report and then entered into our database. Boat History Report's Accident Database also includes minor accidents. However, we don't have information on all accidents, which is why it is stated on all History Reports: All accidents are not reported to Boat History Report. Therefore, it is recommended that a complete inspection or survey be completed by a professional before consummating a purchase.
