This is a great boat, great performance and worth quit a bit more that the asking price. This C&C 40 is the least expensive and the nicest on the market. The owner raced this boat the TransAt to Bermuda and came in second. This boat has over $50,000 in improvements and upgrades including a brand new engine.

Features and Options
New expandable foam in the cooler, to maximize insulation and to allow it to freeze food, and a new refrigeration system - Three new AGM house batteries and a separate starter battery.
The inside wood work is better than new. It came with only oiled teak. It now has multi coats of poly varnish. All of the upholstery is new made a high grade soft tan leather like naguahide material on all the cushions.
All standing rod rigging was inspected this year and new turn buckles installed, new baby-stay installed, and the upper/lower spreaders were rebuilt. The chain plates have been inspected and are fine. The boat has double spinnaker and double jib halyards. All halyards have just been replaced with new low stretch Admiral Dyneema . The furling is a brand new Harken furling and headstay was just installed.
All new life lines and connecting hardware was just installed. The Navtec Dual Function Hydraulic back stay, boom vang, and pump have just been rebuilt. All winches were purchased over-sized from a stock boat. The line stops are now four brand new Lewmar Superlock Triples. All control lines lead back to the cockpit for easy singlehanded sailing.
All new LED low amperage running lighting, new internal lighting fixtures and indirect LED lighting. Including new OGM Tri-Anchor masthead light w/photocell, and New Davis Windex indicator. All new tinned copper wire instrument wiring rerun throughout the boat and to the masthead. New Ritchie compasses installed.
Sails: Brand New Doyle main and Jib; Stackpack Kevlar Race Main, XTR Heavy, A2MLT cloth with GT-21 Carbon tapes, 4 full battens, 2 reefs, cunningham, stripes, Stackpack, lazyjacks, bag. #2 125% Genoa, XTR Heavy, A2MLT cloth with GT-21 Carbon tapes, uv cover, stripes, bag.
Original sails include main, brand new #1 155% Genoa 3.4 0z. Mylar, #2 125% Genoa 7.25 oz on roller furling, #3, 110% Genoa 8 oz., Tri-radial Spinnaker 3/4 oz. and 1/2 oz spinnaker. Number 2 and 3 genoa have only been out of the bags a few times. The original sails and the new ones were made by Doyle Sails
Added cruising amenities, new 32" flat screen TV,DVD player, and Glomex antenna. New 1000 watt Prosine Inverter. New Prosine 3 battery charger. New microwave oven. The big screen TV (100 watt) hooks up to the portable computer as a back up to the garmin GPSMAP for navigation and it can be plugged into the 12/110 inverter while away from the dock. I have Google Earth Plus on the computer which has real time weather overlays that can be shown on the large screen TV. It has a New VHF radio with remote wireless hand mike controller at wheel. It has a new Raymarine sail pak intruments(wind,speed,depth)instruments. New Garmin 545 GPSMAP. New Raymarine S1 wheel auto Pilot.
New 85 watt solar cell system and mounted it on the dodger, to keep down windage.
The waste holding tanks are fine. It has upgraded (2) 55 gal. stainless steel water tanks. The bottom is cleaned monthly
Engine is brand new 40HP Yanmar, with larger 90 amp alternator, that has less than 50 hours on it and not yet broken in. It has a new 3 blade feathering prop, and shaft, to replace 2 blade folding Martex which was starting to cause vibration. The new Yanmar engine has a 3 to 1 reduction in reverse, the original engine was 2 to 1. The new prop addressed the issue and improve all around performance under power, especially backing up and vibration.
