This 2006 Hydra-Sports 212 Walkaround has a 150-horsepower Yamaha outboard motor with electronic fuel injection.
The owner says he always keeps the engine clean because he wants to make sure he sees leaks or any signs of trouble -- which he has never had from this engine. It runs great, he says. The motor is close to the 200-horsepower maximum the boat is rated for, and he experiences plenty of power and speed.
The boat stays stable in fairly rough water, especially considering its size. While a three-blade propeller offers maximum speed, the owner prefers a four-blade propeller, which makes the boat plane more quickly when he accelerates.

The owner has had three men fishing from the boat at one time, in comfort. There are bolsters on the port and starboard side so a fisherman doesn't have to put all his weight on hard fiberglass. It has four stainless steel rod holders and plenty of storage for fishing gear and (hopefully!) fish.
A telescoping swim platform ladder at the stern makes for easy re-entry to the boat after diving into the water.
The sleeper berth is an oasis on a hot day, or any time it's helpful to get in out of the weather. It sleeps two, but the owner has found it particularly helpful with his young grandchildren. An adult and two or three kids can use the sleeper berth to duck in out of the sun when at sea. The kids like playing in it, too.
The boat weighs 2,915 pounds without the motor and gear included.
