The cruising lifestyle has always been a part of my life as I was born into a family of boaters. My boating life began with runabouts, Sunfish and Hobie Cats in the inland lakes of Texas as a young boy, and in my Teens and early Twenties, I began exploring Coastal Florida, the Florida Keys, and the Bahamas with my Father. As I ventured off to college at Stephen F. Austin State University, I did manage to learn a couple of things, specifically how to scuba dive and wakeboard. Several years later after an attempt at corporate life, I realized that I needed to be on the water and around boats. So, I got my captain's license and moved to the Islands. I was a live-aboard Captain of a 63' sailing charter vessel in the British Virgin Islands where I ran "captain only" term charters and got reaquainted with a long-time college friend Katie, who is now my fiance. Now I am back in sunny Fort Lauderdale continuing to do what I love.
