My passion for boating started in 1963 growing up with my parents in the Bremerton Yacht Club and their boating adventures in a 25’ Sabre Craft. Since then the love for boating has grown to being a live aboard on and off for 20 years owning a 1946 Chris Craft Catalina a 1962 50’ Chris Craft Connie and several other boats! I also have been in boat brokerage and the boat restoration and repair industry for over 25 years. My goal is to find you the perfect boat for you and your family’s needs!
I am thoroughly impressed so far. I was very very interested in another boat but he's already closing on that boat. He has already sent me a list of boats this morning and I have to look through them for consideration. I was very impressed that he sent a list of boats that were similar to the one that is now unavailable. So in that regard, thank you very much for following up with me.
I was curious a bit about the web site because it seems a bit out dated. I was wondering if you know if the marketing and IT department plans to update the look and feel. Given that you are selling a luxury item, you would probably want more of a professional presence on your boating site. I manage big enterprise projects in the PNW and so always thinking about these marketing related items.
Also, I have always wanted to start a yacht-sharing company as I feel there is a large void in the market that could possibly be filled. Have you or anyone you work with ever proposed something similar to you? It just seems that you probably sit on a lot of inventory that could easily mobilize for such an idea.

I have been out of sailing for several years and looking to get back into the sport. I am interested in the Formosa 42 Sea Tiger that you have listed. Being new to the area, I might be interested if I could be pointed in a good direction to get new masts/rigging and to have the interior restored/repaired/updated. I can do much of the work myself but there are some items best left to professionals. Also, a survey of the vessel to let me know what other issues with the hull, engines, etc. that aren't apparent to the untrained eye that are/potentially present.

Randy was very attentive to my interest and inquiry into the 1988 IP. He contacted me immediately and even offered alternatives to consider in place of my neighbor's boat. I am holding off on another vessel purchase though until later in the summer... I already have a little boat and need to do some upgrades and work on it before selling and moving onto something else.

Randy did very well by me! I was curious about a boat and he answered my question directly and honestly. I am not in the immediate market but looking. I am a disabled vet and must find the money first. Normally I would not consider a broker but because of my experience on initial contact with Randy, you made the list! Not too far up but you are on my list.

I have nothing but good things to say about Randy Chase. It is the actions of not paying him, that I have ill feelings about. Randy performed well. His communication, response and preserving was top notch! He makes your company worth doing business. The problem comes in docking him for closing costs? I should charge POP Yachts for my efforts to close the deal. If there is anything else you want to question me about, feel free to e mail me. In the meanwhile, I request you pay Randy his full commission. It is the right and ethical thing to do. It is good business and you owe him his full commission.

Dear Jim, Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback. POP Yachts has a great concept and every person I've dealt with has been excellent. And that is especially true for Randy Chase. I've worked in the boat business as an ABYC certified electrician and have seen a lot of brokers. Randy is one of the best I've seen. He has a deep knowledge about the boats themselves; he relates well to both me and the customer; he is direct and honest, and he has great instincts about how to handle customers (and me) so that we all come out with a win. My only suggestion for improvement relates to the search engine on your POP Yachts website. I have seen a lot better, which seems especially strange since
POP Yachts is an internet oriented brokerage. Specifically: 1) The customer should be able to input any brand they want and the search engine should be able to query the database. My boat, a Lee Shore, didn't have an official brand listing for months. 2) The category choices seem rather small. I could think of all sorts of additional choices - different types of fishing boats, different types of sailboats, different types of trawlers, etc. 3) the customer can only choose one category at a time. They should be able to choose multiple categories and the boats should be able to be listed under multiple categories. 4) similarly, the customer should be able to choose multiple states. Ideally, there should also be regions listed, e.g., Great Lakes, Northeast, Pacific Northwest, etc. Again, thanks for the opportunity to provide

I've had an excellent experience with the company. At the outset Darby was very helpful and easy to deal with. That is good since the experience with the first person you talk to is extremely important is establishing a feeling for the overall company. She was instrumental with me signing up. Having said that, I must admit to being concerned about the selection process for a "broker" (i.e., Randy). Normally in these transactions you spend a lot of time trying to figure out who would be a good broker. Then you select the broker and all the other procedures fall into place. With POPYachts I seemed to be starting with the procedures and after I agreed to participate I got the broker. And I had no idea if
the broker was good. Sort of like going into a car dealership and getting the next guy who is "up", regardless of their qualifications. While I was uneasy with this part, I feel very comfortable with Randy Chase. He is knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Can't imagine having a better person. So, all in all, a fine experience. I'm impressed that you would even check, Jim. I guess that's why its a good experence!!
