Hewes Marine Company has been manufacturing aluminum fishing boats in Colville, Washington since 1948. Their entire history has been building Aluminum fishing boats.
They are often considered heirloom boats because of their rugged aluminum construction. They are also designed to be unsinkable and will float in the event of an emergency. Not required by USCG or Canadian regulations but by a Hewescraft standard.
