1949 A.R.C. Marine Co 20 Antique in Westbrook, Connecticut

Stock #169492

Here is your chance to own a lovingly restored piece of nautical history. This ARC (Aeronautical Radio Company) 20 has been thoroughly and knowledgeably restored over a two year period by her current owners.

Brought to the United States in 1949 it was the featured ARC boat at the 1950 New York Boat Show. Believed to be the only one in the country, it is in beautiful condition. Built of mahogany planking over oak frames and powered by a diesel inboard, she will turn heads in any harbor she glides into.

Work done during the recent restoration was extensive. Owner reports that 8 mahogany planks were replaced below the waterline and that 12 oak frames were steamed and installed.Over 1300 copper rivets were replaced and a whole new wiring system was installed.

Custom interior cushions and curtains were produced for the vessel as well. Brass hardware has been re-finished to accent the glorious varnish surfaces found throughout the boat. Photos documenting the restoration project are available to corroborate her condition.

Since completion the boat has been enjoyed regularly and been maintained to a high standard. The owner have taken her to local shows and antique boat rendezvous and have won several awards .

Advertisement is for vessel only. Trailer is not being offered for sale by Pop Yachts.
