This 1959 Chris Craft 17 foot ski boat was the first of its kind to sport a V8 engine. It has been restored to beautiful condition using only materials called for in the original build sheets and blueprints from Chris Craft, which will be supplied to the new owner.
The restoration work was documented in photos, which are part of this listing. It is difficult to find a flaw in this boat. It is a rare design and a part of boating history.
Powerful for a 1959 design, given it's Chris Craft 283 V8 engine, it cruises easily at 30MPH and has a top speed of 40 MPH.
This boat is in perfect, fully restored condition. Great care has been taken to make this a completely accurate restoration, staying true to the original build sheet and blueprint, which will be supplied to the new owner.
It won 1st place at a 2005 New England Antique Boat Show competition. It has been used 12 hours since it's restoration.
Gorgeous condition is the best way to describe this boat. Everything has been restored to new condition, using great care. Even the instrumentation and fire extinguisher are perfect and true to the original.
