In 1966, Adam West was Batman, Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise began their 5-year mission, the Astrodome was built, and the Miniskirt was in fashion. That's also the year when this Chris Craft 28 Sea Skiff was built. A head turner at the dock and a performer on the water, she comes from an age when marine craftsmanship was king.
Approaching the vessel, the first things you notice are the classic lines and paint that shines in the sun. The hull features a blue accent below the rub rails and a red boot line above the bottom paint. The white, blue, and red theme is carried throughout the vessel.
The real work of art is the mahogany stern, finished and polished to a deep shine. The polished teak and mahogany throughout the vessel are fantastic and must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
The flybridge provides a panoramic view of your surroundings and is fully instrumented and well equipped. The bimini top keeps the sun off while the open air keeps the breeze moving.
When the weather turns ugly, there is a lower helm station undercover and behind the windshield. Across from the lower helm is the four person dinette which converts to an outdoor berth for on-water camping.
The cabin features a manual head with a 5-gallon waste capacity and a v-berth that accommodates two with a skylight hatch for ventilation. The cabin also features extra rod storage overhead.
The floor of the cockpit has been redone in keeping with the rest of the boat and is in excellent condition. All of the upholstery on the vessel is in great shape with no cuts, tears, or cracks.
The motor is a 300 horsepower Marine Power 5.7L Vortec inboard connected to a Paragon drive spinning a bronze propeller. She cruises at 20mph burning 7gph giving her a range of about 300 miles on a full 120 gallons of fuel.
Overall the vessel is in good shape for her age. After 52 years, she still has it where it counts.
Recently restored, she's well equipped with GPS and full instrumentation.
The bimini and all upholstery are in very good shape.
