A rare early fiberglass performance boat by Chris Craft. The Commander Super Sport was the forerunner to a later model boat called the XK-19. Fiberglass was a new material for the company that had made its name as the largest manufacturer of wood boats. Chris Craft did not know how this new material and technology would hold up or if it would stand the test of time, so they generally over-engineered the hull. This particular hull was designed for Chris Craft by Jim Wynne of 1960 race boat fame.
This boat once owned by the New Zealand ski team has proven it has the ability to perform. The 454 cid Berkeley jet drive really gives the boat the ability to get up and move.
On only its third owner, the paint and upholstery have been upgraded to give this classic a fresh feel.
There are some scratches on the out side of the boat that can't be buffed out. In general the paint is in good condition. The interior is in good condition. There is a trailer available for it, but it hasn't been seen or photographed in person yet.
60-day Sea Tow membership* comes standard with your boat purchase!
