Chris Craft created one of the first center consoles in 1964 and designed a very functional way to fish with the inboard engine in the center of the boat including the center helm console and walking spaces from bow to stern, starboard to port providing a new way to fish that stepped up to the design of the 1974 Cutlass Dory.
Presenting in North Carolina near a large fresh water lake is a classic "Dory" that needs a new owner to finish the restoration the current seller started.
The beauty of the Cutlass is the hull with a deep V at the bow to cut through full waves with the unique chine design, a Down East sheer line and lots of freeboard and the follow through to the aft wider body.
The T-Top was custom made by the original owner for the boat with a Stryker "T" soft top with rod holders and spotlight.
The seller reports new isenglass, Sony stereo, cd player, new, never installed speakers to mount on the T-Top rails. The representative has not seen these items.
In addition, He communicates that the transducer inside the boat may need to be reset ( not thru hull) reads depth and finds fish fine through fiberglass (no holes in hull)
The seller praises this Dory that it looks great in or out of the water, handles like a dream. The motor sits low in the center of gravity adding stability to the boat. The boat is seaworthy, handles great in rough water and is fast.
The potential to make this 1974 Chris Craft a gem is so available with a great fiberglass hull and the good starts the seller has endeavored but was halted due to his health.
On the right side of the page is a U-Tube video of the same model that was restored by a gentleman in Florida and the video demonstrates what this Dory is capable of becoming.
