Built in 1929 at the New York Launch & Engine Company this 73' Motor Yacht has been called a "True Gentleman's Yacht". Reported to have once been owned by the DuPont family this vintage vessel still has plenty of life in her and is just waiting for the right person to bring her back to her full glory.
Her twin 6-71 Detroit Diesels are strong and ready to go producing 165 HP each at 1800 rpm and pushing this 73 footer along nicely at 20 mph.
In 1985 she underwent a $2,000,000 refit, renovation restoring her to her original splendor and elegance. Copy and paste this link into your browser to see her in her full glory -

Unfortunately, this elegant, beautiful piece of history was partially sunk in September of 2013 and sustained significant damage to the lower deck specifically the three staterooms located in the stern portion of the vessel. The boats current owner purchased her and began her restoration including a complete C-Flex job or fiberglass coating to the underwater portion of the hull from the keel to the rub rails.
The upper deck finished throughout in Honduran Mahogany including the large salon and bar area, the forward dining room and raised wheelhouse remain elegant and regal in good condition. There is a Captains Berth located in the Pilothouse. Both aft and fore exterior teak decks are sound and classic. The foredeck is accented by three large mahogany storage boxes adding more class to this vintage vessel.
As you head down the forward stairway to the lower deck this is where the work begins. The forward most cabin is the staff quarters with two single berths and staff head with shower. There is a lot of cleaning and work to be done here but this cabin is mostly structurally sound.
Next is the Galley and again while structurally sound it is in need of cleaning, gutting and new appliances and cabinets. Moving aft you next come to the engine room housing the two twin diesels and two generators.
The stairway to the Staterooms is located in the main Salon. Roll up your sleeves as this is where the real work begins. There are three staterooms below and two full baths. The Master featured a King Bed and built-in Mahogany dressers plus a cedar lined wardrobe. The master bath featured a Mahogany Spa tub with mirrored walls.
Stateroom two included a two berth bunk and plenty of storage while Stateroom three featured two double beds and a large mirrored dresser. The Head for Staterooms 2 & 3 includes a head, shower, sink, vanity and all original tile. Unfortunately, the Staterooms received the most damage and while much of the Mahogany may be salvageable the staterooms are in need of gutting and restoration.
Yall this beautiful step back in time is looking for that special owner to roll up their sleeves and restore her to glory.
Don't miss your opportunity to own a piece of history.
