A perfect little cruiser for an evening dinner or a sightseeing runabout in downtown Seattle. This Norwegian Volvo Powered Double Ender will turn heads wherever you go.
With a beautiful wood outline and unique appearance, this wooden boat fits right into the Seattle culture. The aft seating and dinette are a rare and socially enticing feature making this Norwegian Snekke a one of a kind cruiser in our local waters.
The hull is constructed with longleaf yellow pine planks. The planks are lap straked into the oak frame with copper pin rivets. The construction and hull do not have any known issues. It has a full bow and canoe stern.
The interior is designed to be a combination salon and berth. The galley table slides on a vertical wood stanchion to the salon ceiling where it can be placed out of the way for storage, dropped down for sleeping, or used as a dinette table. The head is on the starboard and the holding tank is below the head. The salon also has a diesel-fired stove for heat.
Aft is the main cabin with a navigation station, sink, settees, and captain's chair. The diesel engine is located below the main cabin and is accessed through a raised hinged deck section. Aft of the engine is a beautiful and unique horseshoe settee for entertainment and socializing.
The vessel has canvas coverings to protect the cabin. Depending on the weather, the canvas covering can be easily removed and stored as needed.
The Norwegian is fitted with 2 Minn Kota electric motors. The electric motors are controlled by a joystick and provide for easy maneuvering or docking. The main engine is a Volvo Penta diesel with a heat exchanger and wet exhaust.
There is an escape hatch on the bow for the forward salon. The escape hatch also gives access to the bow deck which has handrails for convenient safety.
There is a single spruce mast which supports antennas, running light, radar scanner, and radar reflector.
The Norwegian Snekke is more than just a little cruiser. She is perfectly able to handle the Puget Sound waters and make her way up into the San Juan Islands for some gunkholing solitude or entertaining resort hooping.
Come and take a look and envision how this unique antique cruiser can fit into your boating memories of the Pacific Northwest waters.
The boat is stored near a factory and collects dust quickly. Although the boat is cluttered and dusty, it will not take much work to bring her beauty back.
Per the Seller: The vessel is in very good operating condition structurally and mechanically.
