Flushing is a neighborhood in the north-eastern part of the New York City borough of Queens. While much of the village is residential, Downtown Flushing, centered on the northern end of Main Street, is a large commercial and retail area and is the fourth largest central business district in New York City. Baisley Park is a small pond that is tucked away inside one of the city's most quaint parks. Don't let the size fool you, however - it is full of bass, and a great spot for anglers young and old to catch a few. While the bass fishing may not be as good as that in Prospect Park Lake, it's definitely still worth trying a few casts. Or you can go to Meadow Lake located in Corona Park where you can catch several species of fish, including trophy white perch, gizzard shad, largemouth bass, and more. The occasional snakehead can also be caught, and this is the one time where catch-and-release is not enforced, as snakeheads are an invasive species.
