Historic 18'6" BFH (blown-fuel-hydro) top fuel race boat. Built in 1977, the subject boat was a prototype hull manufactured by Sanger Boats. It was built to replace Sanger race team "Climax" boat in 1978. It was the first boat of the Western Mag team of 3 others to come in time. In 1978 the Western Mag won the NDBA Championship. It was raced by many Top Fuel Drivers including Terry West who with this boat was the first to hit 208 MPH in the quarter mile. Other drivers included Ed Hyder, Mike DeBuel, and the list goes on.
