This 1960 Schooner was built by Aenaes Campbell, Master Carpenter and builder, in Astoria, NY. The frames are white oak, and the planking is spruce. Both masts are made from a single piece of spruce with no knots. All the spars are also spruce. When the boat was commissioned in 1960, it was launched without propulsion. In 1962 the Westerbeke Diesel was installed. Originally the ballast was lead and iron, but this seller removed the iron which can rust and added five tons of lead inside the white oak keel.
