Crownline's patented F.A.S.T. TAB (Fin-Assisted Safe Turn) hull design has vented chines that improve slow-speed stability, time to plane, turning ability, and performance. With a deep freeboard and 19-degree dead rise, the modified-V hull with a pointy bow cuts through chop when the waters get rough, ensuring that up to 13 passengers stay dry and remain comfortable.

The captain and mate's chairs have adjustable bolsters and are shock resistant. The captain's chair and steering wheel are also adjustable to allow for a comfortable fit for the driver. The owner replaced the standard adjustable pedestal for the captain's chair with a premium after-market pedestal for even more height if needed. Both chairs swivel to the L-shaped cockpit area for socializing.

Convenience, safety, and passenger comfort are important considerations by the designers of the 260 XSS. High-grade materials are used for the cushions and upholstery on all chairs and seating areas. The captain has a fully equipped dashboard with a 7" Garmin touchscreen chart plotter including Blue Charts and a G3 mapping chip. The Garmin has a depth finder and underwater sonar imaging. It is also connected to the engine, with digital gauges showing all of the important metrics of operation (depth, speed, trim & tilt). The customizable screen with split-screen capability keeps the captain fully informed. High-quality analog gauges are also provided for fuel level, tachometer, and speed. The captain even has a built-in armrest for those days when the crew wants to stay out on the water all day.

One of the main features of the 260 XSS is the power arch. It includes a ski pylon and is integrated with the Bimini. If you need to fit under a tight bridge you can easily and quickly lower the arch. For that summer squall, you can close off the bow area by expanding the hidden door separator and closing the windshield, and then lowering the arch to get some protection from the elements!

In addition to the two built-in coolers, this deck boat has a lot of storage. Several of the compartments are lockable, including a waterproof, lockable dashboard compartment. When you open the compartments you will see a boat liner which keeps the inside of the boat clean and minimizes mold and mildew. When it starts to get dark, bluish-purple LED lights bathe the deck in a soft light that does not impact night vision. For the captain's convenience, there are dock lights.

Powered by a super quiet 250 HP Mercury outboard, the boat is nimble and easy to handle. It approaches 50 MPH even with a full tank of fuel, 5 people, and the bimini up. The engine is so quiet you can easily have a conversation when underway. The engine shifts smoothly from neutral into forward and into reverse with no clunking sounds.
