Harley was great at the back end and went above and beyond. The local broker on the other hand was less than qualified. Sara was unprepared, felt like I wasn't being provided truthful communications and was scattered. I understand Jim (husband) is dealing with health issues and may have created some issues, but I was uneasy and concerned I was going to lose the deal due to her lack of followup and concern if she were communicating to the buyer in the same manner she was with me. My situation was somewhat unique as my boat was located in Oxnard, CA and I relocated to Knoxville, TN. I was dependent on a good friend to represent me in the transaction. Sea trial was scheduled, then cancelled then rescheduled and finally cancelled. I get this was probably a result of the buyers actions, but her lack of followup and my distrust in her made for an extremely uneasy week leading up to close. Harley the closing coordinator actually scheduled the sea trial that eventually was cancelled as well as the boat turnover calendar appointment and was in direct communication with the buyer on a few items that came up, that resulted in a successful closing. Sara I believe was clueless of Harley's involvement and I only heard from Sara minutes after an action was documented by Harley. I hadn't met Jim and asked Harley if Jim would be in attendance at the boat/keys turnover. He was and showed up with a colostomy bag hanging from his waist. My friend sent a photo and said the interaction was awkward. I don't want to discount his condition, but not a professional atmosphere. Happy to send the photo, but recommend not viewing during dinner hour. I could go on, but I think you get my drift. It's frustrating that a 10% commission I paid went to an undeserving party. They did complete photography on the front end, but other than that not impressed. I get all facets of a business are critical, I just wanted to share my experience as it's troubling.
