2000 Boston Whaler 21 Outrage
The Boston Whaler 21 Outrage is set to go the distance. It carries 125 gallons of fuel, and its big-water, beamy Accutrack hull cleanly slices through rough water. The 21 Outrage's solid Unibond construction provides the durability and unsinkability that is truly appreciated offshore. The 21 Outrage is ready to fish. There are a pair of insulated in-deck fish boxes to keep the catch fresh. There are rod holders on the console and racks under the gunnels. Or choose the bait prep station, with leaning post, livewell and aft coaming bolsters. The lockable electronics box at the helm is built to hold electronics like a GPS and a fishfinder. Inshore, the 21 Outrage provides ample room and comfort for cruising and watersports. Sliding pedestal seats with footrests, cushioned rear quarter seats, and an optional folding seat forward of the console assure seating for the family, and then some. The 21 Outrage also has an optional head below the console compartment.
Few boat manufacturers can accurately say they're "legendary," but Boston Whaler can make the claim. Ever since they sawed one of their 13-footers in half and proved the bow and stern would still float when separated, Boston Whaler has been famous for building a line of "un-sinkable" boats. But just sawing one in half wasn't enough: they've also blasted them with machine guns, parked dump trucks on their overturned hulls, and driven them up whitewater rapids and they keep on floating.
Boston Whaler pours closed-cell foam between an inner and outer layer of fiberglass, until all the voids are filled. When the foam hardens it bonds the fiberglass pieces to each other, creating a one-piece hull structure that's far tougher than the average pleasure boat. According to the manufacturer you can pull the drain plugs, load on weight, cut one in half, whatever you'd like--these boats just won't quit floating. You'll see them in every corner of the world where serious boaters gather.
This is an original owner boat and all maintenance has been done on schedule.
The bow area has a large cushioned seat or fishing platform. Up front, there's a bowsprit with anchor roller and a large anchor locker.
Coming back, there's a flip up seat in front of the console.
All of this potential seating in front gives the boat a dual use capability for both fishing or comfortable day cruising.
The console comes compete with a Garmin GPSMap 182c with chip, Garmin Fishfinder 240 Blue, Jensen stereo and Standard Horizon Intrepid VHF. There's also a Ritchie dash mounted compass.
There is a head under the console for a portable toilet. The toilet has been removed and the space is used for storage but the owner still has the toilet available.
The aft cockpit area is well set up for fishing with a large portable cooler under the helmsman's bolster seat and a neat flip up tackle or odds and ends storage area behind the seat.
There are 2 large wells built into the port and starboard decks.
There are 2 corner mounted passenger seats at the transom corners. One lifts up to reveal a large live well and the other a gate leading to a large storage area.
A neat feature of this boat is the fold down T-Top. It easily folds forward for getting under low bridges and overhangs and can also be left down for towing.
The bottom paint is 1 year old.
