The Scarab 302 Sport evolved from Wellcraft's successful offshore racing program of the early 1970s. Combined with the speed and rough-water handling characteristics of the original race boat hull, the fishing boat cockpit and center console design make for a great high-performance package.
The helm console is well laid out including the lockable electronics storage and a large forward opening compartment under the seat at the front of the helm. The electronics package includes the Furuno GP-7000F GPS/plotter/fishfinder, VHF radio, and Jensen Stereo with 10 disc CD changer.
A 40-gallon live well is built into the leaning post, so it's easily accessible to everyone during a hot bite.
An in-deck fish box, transom fish box, under gunnel rod storage, sports arch, and rocket launchers round out the fishing features aboard. A shower/washdown is also located in the gunnel to port.
The bow cuddy contains a V-berth, storage lockers, and a porta-potty.
Twin Mercury Saltwater 2-stroke 250 hp outboards will easily cruise the Scarab 302 Sport at 30 knots and probably reach up near 50 knots, wide open.
The Scarab 302 Sport has not been on the water since 2017. The engines were run recently and have been run to keep them fresh. The last maintenance on the motors is unknown.
The Cabin will need some cleaning and attention, but the rest of the boat looks to be in good condition. It's been stored indoors and does have a cover. The 2010 aluminum triple axle trailer appears in very good condition as well.
