The Scuba South II is a 52' all aluminum twin 8V92 Detroit Diesel vessel, equipped with Standard Horizon GX23505 VHF and Icom M 700 single sideband radios for communications. The boat can, and has, operated in zero visibility safely. She has a full galley with microwave and refrigerator. AC power is supplied by a Delco 20 KW generator supplying 110/220 voltage. The fully enclosed cabin is heated and cooled with two roof mounted air conditioners, and includes a head with hot and cold shower. Crew's quarters has two full size bunks. Seating includes eight seats, a table, and full size bench seat which convert to two bunks in the passenger compartment.
All USCG required safety equipment is carried, including ACR Satellite 406 EPIRB, and Roe Life Float Model RLF-25 (25 person capacity life float) Rebuilt 2015.
The deck seating area is removable for clear deck space. We have carried a deck load of over a ton of supplies to resupply ships offshore, and have carried a one hundred fifty cubic foot per minute diesel air compressor to start the stranded ship "Lyra." Side scan and magnetometer equipment have been used aboard the Scuba South II.
A full sized dive platform has two ladders for easy entry onto the boat.
The beam is 15', Hours 2771 port 3185 Strbd. Starboard engine was replaced 2009 with a newer truck engine, have two extra heads, blower, and water pump for 8V92. The generator is a 20 KW Detroit 2-71. The boat holds 525 gallons of fuel. Operating speed is around 14 Knots. The crews quarters consist of two bunks, the galley has sink, refrigerator, and microwave. The boat has two A/C's one in the pilot house and one in the passenger's compartment. We do not have a COI so it can carry 6 passengers.
This is a very large boat that, per the owner, everything is in great working condition. The Seller has plenty of records, history etc. The vessel needs a good cleanup inside and out to get it where it needs to be.
The owner has serviced the vessel and had the bottom done when called for.
