1967 Allied Seawind Ketch (Allied) Cruiser Sailboat in Baltimore, Maryland

Stock #157715

Update: Fresh bottom paint September 2020

The Seawind Ketch (Allied 30 Masthead Ketch) was the first fiberglass model to circumnavigate the world and prove that fiberglass could complete the voyage. First released in 1962, there were only 161 of these models built.

This ketch is a solid old girl, waiting for her next journey with her new owner. She has been lovingly maintained and upgraded. Safe for blue water, she is just as content in the bay and inshore waters.

Not meant to be a modern yacht with all the bells and whistles, but she does have many of the comforts of home. She can comfortably sleep 4, in her salon and forward stateroom. But cruising would be better with two.

Features include:
-New Mainsail - not installed yet
-Magnum MMS series sign wave inverter/charger
-Lewmar self tailing winches
-Ritchie Navigator compass
-Origo 4000 stovetop
-Raymarine Depth and Speed instruments
-Yanmar 3GM30
-Wood cockpit grating
-Main, jib, Mizzen, Mission Staysail, Asymetrical Spinacker and Jib club installed (has a roller furling jib and hardware available)
-Isolation Tranformer, Victron
-Aries self steering
-Natures Head Composting head
-LED interior lights and navigation lights

Information On Condition

Fresh bottom paint and zincs September 2020
Vessel appears solid. Freeboard was painted by former owner. Still shiny and reflects. Current owner says debris and scuffs always wash right off.

Current owner recovered cushions, and they look nice. No tears.

The finish on the floor is gone, but it is solid.

Injectors were just redone on engine in July. Engine is clean,

New Isolating transformer, fuel sending unit, and Magnum MMS series sign wave inverter/charger are neatly installed and working well.

There sre some cosmetic flaws, but the boat is great for a 1967!
