2001 Beneteau 411 Oceanis Double Cabin Cruiser Sailboat in Brielle, New Jersey

Stock #201386

This big, beautiful Beneteau 411, one of the most popular among the bluewater cruising class has been fitted out for the off-grid vagabond lifestyle by her current owner, the modifications easily reversible for those less hardcore or with a need to be closer to civilization.

First, with almost 800 watts of solar power and over 500 amp hours of house battery storage essential and convenience loads are easily satisfied, allowing extended passages and stays on a mooring or at anchor.

Ample fresh water, of course, almost 160 gallons, in addition, the owner replaced the fwd toilet with a composting toilet for use in restricted discharge waters, reducing the need for pump-out, while the aft head retains the usual Y-valve holding tank configuration. All the plumbing for a fwd toilet is intact and can be restored to service by dropping in the toilet of choice.

The owner has augmented the original installed cold storage capacity, divided between built-in top loading and front loading chests by adding a high efficiency three cubic foot Dometic portable cooler, strapped down where the port side bench cushion (stored aboard) would normally be, next to it a comfy chair where she spends the majority of her time when aboard.

On the opposite side, the owner has modified the starboard convertible dinette to a semi-permanent berth with a storage area beneath originally intended for the installation of a water maker, however, the modification is easily reversed, the upholstery and table aboard.

Getting to the business end of things, the vessel is a well-equipped sailing machine, top of the list perhaps being the roller-furling mainsail and 140% genoa set, augmented by a spinnaker, rigged for single-handed operation, all sheets and hauls to the cockpit.

The Westerbeke diesel auxiliary is a relatively low hour for a vessel of this age, obviously skippered by those who needed it little, well maintained, good running and physically almost spotless.

In addition, to be able to go, she is able to stay put, double anchor rollers accommodate a rollbar plow anchor with 100' chain on the electric windlass, and a Bruce anchor with 20' chain and 100' rode on the lumbar spine windlass.

Navigation and entertainment electronics are comprehensive, see the feature lists, including radar, wind instruments, stereo, CD changer, TV and OTA digital TV antenna.

We could go on and on, this is a world-class cruiser that can take you just about anywhere, so why not look through the 250 or so photos, the specs, read the glowing reviews on the web, and if this looks like the one for you... do something about it.

NOTE - At this time the tender and motor seen in the photos is NOT included in the sale, the owner intends to keep.

Information On Condition

The photos tell the story, this boat is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, the owner reports that everything works properly, standing and running rigging, as well as sails, are all in good, serviceable condition and the vessel is ready to sail over the horizon.
