1975 C & C Yachts 38 Sloop power by a newer Beta Marine 28 HP deisel engine. The exact year of the engine is unknown.
The engine was replaced by a previous owner and has low hours on the meter. The current owner took possession of the vessel in North Carolina and it was sailed to its current location in Charleston, SC.
This vessel has a nice 12' beam, providing nice space within the cabin. There was also good headroom within the cabin, estimated at 6' 5" of headroom.
The vessel has an aft berth, two twin mid-berths, and a forward V-berth. There is a head/ bathroom on board, the seller reports the macerator pump does need to be replaced, but the direct pump-out option still functions.
The vessel has an aft gallery layout with a sink, propane stove, icebox, and a pressurized water system. There is also a water heater on board that functions well.
The seller started the wiring for a solar system, but it is not fully completed. Materials to complete the process are on board and will go with the vessel.
The vessel holds 60 gallons of fresh water with two 30-gallon tanks.
This vessel is fully balsa cored, has a deep fin keel, and a spade rudder.
The listing consultant visiting the vessel was overall impressed with the condition and appearance of the C&C. The rigging appeared to be in average to above-average condition, the sails felt crisp and in above-average condition.
