1966 CAL 40 Cruiser in Dana Point, California

The cockpit of the Cal 40 is large, and there is a large storage area at the aft. This Cal has tiller steering. The Cal 40 is balanced well, and steering with a tiller is not difficult. The cabin trunk is low and allows excellent visibility forward with wide side decks and a large foredeck for handling headsails.

These Cal 40s are well known for racing however they also have a comfortable and roomy cabin with a fold-down two-sided table with a bench seat. Nearby is a bathroom with head and sink.

Per the seller:

Perkins 4108, electric head w macerator and tank. Smart charger 2 batteries.

Original "vintage" Tillermaster autopilot & Signet instruments.

Harken furling w cruising yankee 138% and lightly used racing dacron 150%. Kevlar #3, tallboy

Carbon removable sprit w 2 asymm kites, all original symm spin gear, poles, strings, 4 kites included.

Successful PHRF racer in So Cal

Harken primary self tailers, halyards led aft w clutches to cockpit

Stainless cabin top handrails, teak toe rail cap. Nice clean updated look.

Nice interior foam and cushions. newer recovered cockpit cushions

Information On Condition

This is a 1966 boat and looks to have normal wear and tear for its age. The seller has the hull cleaned monthly by a hull cleaning service.

The interior upholstery looks to need a cleaning. See all photos.

Seller is not exactly certain of engine hours but estimates about 4000
