The Catalina 25 was the most popular boat in her class during her production years and still remains highly sought after today. Designed and built to be affordable yet strong and reliable. She is capable of offshore sailing but better suited for coastal and inland waters. Originally designed to be a racer in the late seventies, the Catalina slowly emerged as a cruiser before production ended in the early nineties.
This is a well-maintained Catalina 25. She is very easy to sail and has proven herself to be a great starter boat for the seller's family of five.
The Ullman Sails are in good condition and come with a sail plan. It is roomier than you think, especially since there is no inboard diesel and the cabin trunk opens.
It comes with a two-burner alcohol stove, a porta-potty, and a hand sink.
For electronics, you have a Garmin GPS/Chartplotter with a depth finder, and you have a VHF radio with MMSI.
This boat has a lower furler, and it comes with two anchors. A bruce anchor and a Rokna. Both have 10' of chain and 150' of rode.
If you want to learn to sail and spend time with family and friends, this a great boat to start with!
In early 2019, replaced most of the standing/running rigging, mast wiring/lights, and had the bottom painted and the hull polished. The canvas dodger and sail covers have a few years of life left, but will eventually need to be replaced.
