1974 Columbia 43 Cruiser Sailboat in Pittsburgh, California

Stock #180237

This 43' Bill Tripp designed Columbia sloop is set up for extended cruising, single handing and live aboard. It is also the very last Columbia 43 ever produced.

This boat is very stiff and stable upwind with a high ballast to displacement ratio. She points upwind exceptionally well and has a PHRF below 100, which means she is much faster than any other cruiser from the 70s and faster than most cruisers made today.

And, this Columbia 43 has several upgrades that make it capable of crossing oceans such as the large water and fuel tanks and the guard rails on each side of the mast that allows someone to work the lines on the mast in safety no matter the sea state.

The Perkins 4.107 engine has less than 400 hours on it, which is exceptional for an engine from the 70s.

Down below, you have a well-equipped galley, a comfortable dinette, two settees, a nav station that comes with a computer with navigation software on it and a forward v-berth with a pillow-top mattress with a break in the middle that allows each side to be folded up providing access to the storage beneath it.

This is a sailboat that can cruise the world, be a great liveaboard or compete in local races handily. Whatever your sailing aspirations, come check out this Columbia 43.

Tender included.
