After 15 years of building 1000 Morgan Out Island 41 sloops, Morgan Yachts decided to change up a couple of things and build the Morgan Out Island 41 Classic. Only 150 of these were ever built.
Weighing 4,000 lbs less than the original, with a 40 sq ft larger sail area, the Classic is a much better sailer, and even sails closer to the wind than her predecessor.
This Morgan has only been used off the coast of Southern California.
With two staterooms, the Morgan 41 is a fantastic vessel for extended trips with the family or crew. The forward V-berth will sleep two, while the Captain's cabin has a nice queen bed. Both cabins each have their own head with shower.
The Galley is outfitted with a double stainless steel sink, fridge, and icebox, and the seller currently has an electric cooktop on top of the propane burners for the stove/oven.
In the salon, the convertible dinette can have the table up for meals, down for a berth, or against the wall to create a lounge for entertaining. Both pilot berths on each side of the boat have been converted to storage space.
Above decks, the huge cockpit is large enough for everyone to enjoy the sail, while the skipper can rely on the Garmin GPS-radar and Simrad autopilot to get you to your destination.
This Morgan has spent its life in the Southern California area, but it will make for great adventures worldwide, with the Yanmar 44 hp motor and shallow draft.
The only two sails onboard are the reefable main and the jib.
This Morgan 41 Out Island Classic appears to be in good condition and well kept. The Seller does spend a lot of time onboard when he's in town. There are lock boxes attached to the deck for more on deck storage, and the shade offers good protection from the elements, as you can see by the condition of the isinglass.
The seller is a marine mechanic and has always kept the boat mechanically sound and serviced. The injectors and injector pump were serviced in 2018, and the engine was last serviced in October 2021.
The Running rigging was all replaced in 2018.
