1975 Cabot 36 Cutter in Port Labelle, Florida

Stock #272303

This is a well-equipped Cabot 36 aft cockpit sailboat. It was built in Canada to extremely strong standards.

The deck on the Cabot is solid - built with Airex foam. No Balsa wood on this one equals no soft spots.

Cutter rigged, all 3 sails have working furling units so it is easy to single-hand sail.

The 36 HP Yanmar engine runs well and will get you home when the wind dies.

The boat is set up for long-distance cruising. Equipment includes steering vane, autopilot, radar, AIS, water maker, GPS, chart plotter, SSB radio, and cabin heat.

Information On Condition

The Cabot is a good solid boat overall. The hull is solid. The deck is solid. The seller has lived aboard for a few years and is moving back to land.

The seller says the boat will likely need some cosmetic work depending on the new owner's taste and inclination. Please see the pictures - this vessel will need some reconditioning it may also need some repairs.

The repair/maintenance issues that seller listed include:

~An antenna at the masthead is broken. The top piece is dangling.

~The port running light is out.

~The engine shut off cable needs to be replaced.

~The three batteries (2 house 6v and 1 starter 12v) are in place but are not secured.

~The fresh water pump runs but doesn't generate pressure. I think it needs a new diaphragm.

~The staysail needs a sheet.

~The shower sump pump has worked intermittently.

~The refrigerator doesn't work

+I have never used the water maker. I can't speak to its serviceability.

+The 120v AC power is through the inverter only, not directly from shore power.
