2002 John Simpson 40 Felicity Cutter in Oriental, North Carolina

This design was built specifically for a couple who wanted an offshore pilothouse cutter under 40'. The draft is less than 6', and the cabin has 6' 4" headroom.

This one-hundred percent steel hull has a moderately long fin keel and a large skeg-mounted rudder. The sail plan includes a masthead cutter rig with mainsail slab reefing and headsails on furling systems. The forestay is removable for sailing in protected waters.

The interior layout is designed for extensive offshore cruising. The galley sports a double sink, stove, freezer, and trash bin. Forward of the galley portside is a small workbench for mechanical work or added counter space.

Information On Condition

All systems function as designed with the exception of the radar system.

The sellers have updated the mattresses and covered them with weather-resistant and comfortable materials.

The hullsides were painted in 2019 and topsides are in need of paint now.
