When you are looking for family deck boat, this is a great choice. When I drove up to this 2013 Hurricane 187 Sun Deck Sport it was easy to see that the boat was nearly new. Walking around it you could see only a few scuff marks that would come out easily. Other than that I could see nothing that this boat would need other than a new home. And if you know someone looking for a deck boat then let them know.
This boat is equipped with a 4.3 L MPI ECT powerplant and a Mercruiser Alpha I outdrive. With only 36 hours on it, the boat has just gone past its break in point. And this owner explained how he followed exactly the break in procedures that the factory required. Even at 36 hours this boat has never had the throttle pushed to the firewall.
The boat is well equipped with ample deck space and snap-in carpet. A sony stereo system is under the helm station. What makes this vessel stand out from most of the other Hurricane Deck Boats is that it is equipped with a wrap around windshield. When you look at most they are missing this option. If you have young family this will help keep them dry.
The boat has an ample size swim platform with a swim ladder. Once the boat achieved 25 hours the seller pulled tubers behind his boat and everyone had fun. The hull design makes it versatile, making it easy to enjoy most sports on the water.
The seller has a newborn and rather than let the boat go unused he has decided to sell the boat. There will be another boat in their family as they really love this one.
The best buy of any boat is one that is between 25 and 75 hours. The warranty work has been done and the break in period is over. You have a boat that is ready to be used and instead of chomping at the bit to go it is ready when you are.
The interior is in great shape and shows no wear. One of the silver dollar size engine ventilation ducts needs the plastic head replaced. This should be a minor repair costing less than $50. The engine compartment and hull were clean and debris free.
The boat sits on a Road King aluminum trailer that appears nearly new. According to the seller the lights and surge brakes all work. It is an easy to pull trailer and should make it easy for you to get to your favorite water.
As far as price, the first owner takes the hit for the biggest part of the depreciation and you get the great deal. So if you have read this far, just what are you waiting for? Buy It Already!!!
60-day Sea Tow membership* comes standard with your boat purchase!
