Doyle Heckaman came up with his revolutionary hull design in 1989. He had been building boat molds for other builders since 1972, but this one was special and different and started Spendor Boats.
Splendor's standard package on the 240 SunStar is a 300 hp MerCruiser MAG 350 with a twin-prop Bravo Three outdrive with dual props which negates prop torque.
It comes standard with the SeaCore system that is ideal for saltwater since it has a closed cooling system, it uses a lot of stainless steel components and it has a lower unit made of hard-coat anodized XK-360 aluminum.
The 240 SunStar gets on plane in less than 3 seconds, with very little bow rise and therefore no loss of vision for the driver. She will get you up to 30 mph in about 6 seconds and has a top speed of 48 mph.
The 240 SunStar leans in and has great turning capabilities!
According to company literature, at 40 mph the Splendor can do an about-face in only about 30 feet.
The 240 SunStar's twin sponsons allow it to carry up to 12 passengers.
This Splendor 240 Sunstar has all the features you need, including a Porta Potti for the incredibly deep port-side compartment, lots of seating, and plenty of power for water sports.
She also has a Jensen stereo system, boarding ladders front and back, underwater LED lights, and Captains Call / Silent Choice Thru-Hull Exhaust. Also in eluded are 2 power-rise fishing seats, a Carry-On Livewell,
There's also a 13-gallon water system for the sink and the transom shower. Bow and stern boarding ladders allow for easy access to getting in and out of the water.
This boat seems to be in good condition mechanically per the seller and overall could use some TLC. She needs a good cleaning since she has not been used recently due to health issues, and there are some noticeable dings and scratches on the sides of the vessel as noted in the photos. The seats could use a clean up as well.
