Bottom line - this H&H Osmond Beal 40 was built to fish. The existing USCG Certificate of Inspection (8/21/2013 - 8/21/2018) was voluntarily surrendered while the boat was in caretaker status and can be easily reinstated. It also has a USCG Stability Letter dated 7/31/2008 that allows up to a total of 29 persons.

This boat is long and wide and built like a tank. The fiberglass hull is built with four watertight bulkheads creating five watertight bilges.

This H&H Osmond Beal 40 is powered by a Cummins QSM11 diesel motor delivering 610 hp. The power plant is connected to a ZF 280A 2:1 drive. And the power steering makes her handle like a Cadillac. This engine runs like a top. Check out the video included in this listing.

The cabin is huge and includes a small refrigerator, a very large head with toilet, hand sink, and shower, and lots of storage. There is plenty of natural light and lots of grab rails attached to the overhead.

This boat was built for charter/commercial fishing. It has an expansive cockpit area and a huge "dance floor". With very minor modifications this would make an outstanding dive boat as well.

This vessel is in excellent condition throughout. The boat was hauled out in Feburary (2018), the bottom was power washed and two coats of bottom paint were added (Woolsey Yacht Abal BLK). While it was on the hard, the zincs were replaced.

This boat is ready to ready to go. The owner knows of no functional or operational issues with this boat.

PLEASE NOTE: In the interest of transparency and full disclosure the owner is sharing that this boat did have an engine compartment fire in 2011. The fire started with the turbocharger and did set fire to one stringer.

The boats fire suppression system functioned as intended and the fire was quickly extinguished. All repairs were completed under Coast Guard supervision and the boat has passed all required safety inspections.
