This is a classic, Martha's Vineyard built Wasque 32. These Downeast inspired vessels were used extensively by fishermen in the waters around Martha's Vineyard.
The Wasque 32's developed a reputation as a rugged, no-nonsense, heavily constructed single screw semi-displacement boat known for their fuel efficiency and sea keeping ability.
Per the owner, the installed Perkins diesel engine only has 1,500 hours, and pushes the vessel to a cruising speed of 16 to 17 knots while burning a miserly 3.5 GPH. The vessel has a top speed of approximately 20 knots.
The custom built hard top provides all weather operating comfort. Inside the cabin there's berthing for four, enclosed head, and a propane heater. The compact galley includes an efficient ice box, pressure water sink, and 2-burner alcohol stove.
Traditional port-lights, wood trim, and bronze fittings give the cabin a classic feel. The forward hatch includes a solar ventilation fan to keep the interior fresh.
Electronics include two (2) VHF radios, Lowrance GPS/Plotter, Furuno radar, and Raytheon sounder.
This is a serious vessel for serious mariners. The current owner has traveled aboard this boat all the way to Florida.
