Express Cruiser model boats will have an open helm forward of and possibly one step up from the Cockpit. Express Cruisers can range in size from the mid twenty foot size up to 60 feet in size. With such a large variance in length for Express Cruisers, accommodations and amenities will vary greatly. Express Cruisers under 30 feet may or may not have creature comforts like a Generator, Air Conditioning and a Head with Holding Tank. The smaller Express Cruisers typically will have a Cabin forward of and below the Helm with a small V Berth and Galley all in one area and a Porta Pottie either under the Vee Berth or in a separate compartment such as the Head. Typically Express Cruisers less than 30 feet in length will have an Inboard/Outboard Stern Drive engine and some will have twin engine configurations.
Larger Express Cruisers almost always have a Generator for powering up your Air Conditioning, Galley items and other equipment to make life underway or at Anchor feel like you never left the dock. These larger Express Cruisers can have a combination Galley/Main Salon living/entertainment area with either a large private Vee Berth or Cabin forward and aft of the Main Salon under the Cockpit another Berth or Cabin. Your largest Express Cruisers will have up to three private Cabins accommodating six guests or more. These larger Express Cruisers are typically propelled by twin Inboard Gasoline or Diesel engines.
Almost every major boat manufacturer including Bayliner, SeaRay, Cruisers Yachts, and a number of other boat manufacturers produce a line of Express Cruisers in varying lengths and price points.
