If you are looking for a Bayliner 2452, you should know that the biggest problem with these boats is that the fuel tanks often have to be replaced sooner or later. If you are looking at one with original fuel tanks, count on spending $10,000 or more to cut open the fiberglass, pull out the tanks and replace them. On this one, the fuel tanks were replaced in 2018 and epoxy coated, which the original tanks weren't and bedded so it wouldn't budget and wear itself out - one of the problems with the factory installed tank. You may be surprised to read about fuel tanks before a description of the boat, but $10,000 of this $14,000 boat is for these new fuel tanks. And, the engine is very low hours at 200 because the engine was repowered in 2016.
This boat has two decades of fishing experience outside of the Golden Gate Bridge. All of those locations where the seller would get over 100 lbs of Salmon and other fish per trip are stored in the GPS that is connected to the autopilot meaning you can tell the boat to go to any of these good fishing spots on autopilot.
The boat is well-equipped for fishing including a live-well tank that the macerator is connected to making it easy to empty after use. There are two downriggers that include the downrigger weights.
The cockpit is surrounded by a fiberglass enclosure with hard windows in it (not isinglass) making it warm during inclement weather and rough seas.
The cockpit is well laid out with helm seating for a Captain and passenger. Removable cushions that line the transom provide seating for family and friends. When it's time to fish, the transom seats are removable, creating more cockpit space for fishing.
This boat has all the electronics one would need with a VHF radio, a 2nd VHF radio specifically dedicated to the direction finder, a Furuno color fish finder, a Garmin GPS 120 with a chip, Raymarine Auto Pilot connected to the GPS, and a magnetic and an electric compass,
The cabin is well-lit and comfortable. The galley has some great features include the dual burner stove top, fridge, and microwave for meals. Rounding out the nice interior is the good sized V-berth, dinette that converts to a berth and the enclosed head.
Per the Seller:
Everything works on the boat and the hull appears to be in good condition for a 20-year-old boat. There were some scratches and scuffs, but no visible blistering was observed. The galley is remarkably clean and in good shape.
Water intrusion has created some mold/mildew in the interior.
It was last in the water in June 2018 according to the seller.
60-day Sea Tow membership* comes standard with your boat purchase!
All reasonable offers will be reviewed and presented to the seller.
All offers are contingent upon being fully satisfied with unit after personal inspection and/or professional inspection.
