The Signature 290 Chaparral is coveted by many boat owners for its power and handling in most water conditions as well as having great style and comfort. This 1997 model has been stored indoors for most of its life which has maintained the overall appearance and condition.
Powered by twin Volvo Penta 4.3L engines this boat literally jumps out of the water with power. Fully equipped with a generator and air conditioner, the Signature makes an excellent weekender boat.
A complete galley with ample seating is complemented with a v-berth stateroom with a curtain and a rear underdeck berth for guests. This boat can sleep 6 if they're friendly. A forward hatch gives access to the bow deck.
A large swim platform gives entry through the transom with a fold down bench seat, deck access to the engine compartment and plenty of cockpit seating.
The captain's instrumentation is well laid out with easy access to all controls. A depth finder and VHF radio complete the electronics for safe boating.
This boat is being moved to Southern California in March and will soon be available for showing.
The Chaparral is in good condition.
The day I was there, low batteries prevented running the engines. The engine compartment looks clean and engines have reasonable hours for the age of the boat. The generator was not run.
One electrical issue exists which should be easy to correct.
