The Monterey 280 SCR is a large single-engine cruiser with all the amenities of a larger boat. There is plenty of space for cruising around with friends and family. The low swim platform makes it easy to board while at the sandbar. The boat is large enough and has plenty of comforts to stay on board.
The single Volvo Penta 5.7 GXi engine is paired with a Volvo Penta Duo Prop outdrive for maximum torque and easy handling. You can enjoy staying on board being powered up with the low-hour Westerbeke generator.
The boat has a sporty arch, with an aft bimini and extended brow over the captain. Step up to the large bow cushion or relax on the large sun pad to the stern.
The air-conditioned cabin has nice faux, teak and holly flooring. The large U-shaped dining table drops down to make a large V-berth. The galley has nice cabinetry, with a single stove, microwave, sink and refrigerator.
The boat also has a large mid-berth with plenty of room for two adults. The head has a sink and shower head.
The boat has sustained some excessive Florida sun. The blue gel coat is faded and has some damaged from docking. The white topsides are chalky and are in need of attention. Some of the cockpit cushions have been replaced, however others are in need of replacement. The shade cover has split seams. The helm has severe sun damage.
The cabin looks to be in good condition. No smells or mildew was present.
The engine looks to be in good condition, with normal corrosion. The hot water heater has excessive corrosion. The seller discloses the batteries should be replaced.
