1985 Sea Ray 390 Express Cruiser in Marblehead, Ohio

Stock #188543

The Sea Ray 390 is one of the highest rated express cruisers and one of the company's most popular models of all time, and this fine example can be yours to cruise long voyages and explore destinations! In Sea Magazine's most recent survey of Western yacht brokers, this model was ranked as one of the top five boats in its category -- despite the fact that the 390 has been out of production since 1992.

Current owners have taken this spacious, comfortable, and livable 390 on months long trips to Georgian Bay and the Northern Pass. Owners are moving on to do some RV trips out west now, so this one can be yours to cruise some great trips and make great memories.

This 390 is solid, rides well, and handles easily says current owner. The autopilot makes for easy cruising. The current owner purchased this one about 10 years ago -- a Great Lakes boat always!

This 390 comes with a 10' hard bottom dinghy and a 15 hp Mercury outboard. The electric davit system on the back makes it easy to anchor off and take the dinghy in to explore destinations.

The boat is fully equipped including radar. Owner is meticulous about maintenance and annual winterization. This 390 has always been kept shrink-wrapped in the winter. This 390 has been kept in a boathouse in the summer so the canvass is bright navy with no sun damage. The breezy large screens in the canvas area make your living space extra large and comfortable, with great visibility to look out at the harbors and destinations. The canvas is only 5 years old!

The extra spacious interior salon on the 390 has an L-shaped lounge area that converts to extra sleeping space and a dinette. The stove and microwave work well, as does the refrigerator that was replaced about 5 years ago.

The stateroom has a very comfortable full-sized bed with a new mattress that was custom made -- owner says it is more comfortable than his high-end mattress at home!

The 390 has dual AC/Heat with 2 units, so the stateroom has separate control from the salon. The AC and heat work well!

You enter the 390 through a door adjacent to the helm console. Inside the saloon, you'll find an impressive 6 feet, 4 inches of headroom. Seating is especially comfortable, with an L-shaped settee to port that seats at least six adults and a two-seat breakfast bar to starboard.

Both seating areas are adjacent to a big, full-size galley that offers many unexpected delights for seagoing gourmet chefs -- including double stainless steel sinks, a full-size refrigerator/freezer and a range with an oven.

The breakfast bar faces a mirrored panel that retracts to reveal yet another seating area -- in the guest stateroom. On the other side of the counter, there's a settee that converts to bunk-style berths. It's adjacent to a hanging locker and a privacy door that closes this stateroom off from the main saloon at bedtime.

The boat's master stateroom is forward -- but it's much more than a V-berth. This luxurious getaway spot includes a queen-size berth with storage drawers underneath, hanging lockers and a vanity with a wash basin.
Adjacent to both staterooms, the boat's stand-up head offers a marine toilet, a sink and a shower.

There's room for up to 10 adults in the 390's spacious cockpit, making it ideally suited for entertaining guests. Here, the skipper gets a fully equipped helm station with an excellent view of the water through the boat's big, angular wrap-around windshield.

The 390 is built on a wide-body deep-V hull, which gives it a smooth, solid ride. This is a dry-riding boat, and one that tracks well.

One notable feature of the 390 hull -- recessed hull pockets for the propellers --gives the boat the ability to cruise in shallower water than many comparable-size cruisers.

Dinghy included: 2008 Brig, 10'10" with 5 hp Mercury 2-stroke OB

Update: Water tank needs to be replaced. A leak was found and there is an odor present due to the leak. The seller has spoken to his marina and has an estimate for replacement of the tank.

Owner has meticulously maintained engines and boat is tidy and clean. The only issue is that the generator needs a new starter. Current owner does not have the vessel manuals, but has all the manuals for the electronics and newer equipment like the refrigerator and davit.
