2007 Stingray 250 CS Cruiser in Verplanck, New York

Stock #120242

Although located in Canada, due to Canadian regulations, this boat is not available for sale to potential buyers in Canada.

With an 8-foot-6-inch beam and a dry weight of only 5,025 pounds, the 250CS can be easily trailered so families can save marina fees as well as enjoy access to waters near and far.

The 250CS will easily run over 40 mph, and cruise along nicely at 30 burning approximately 8 gallons of fuel per hour. This is very good performance and efficiency for a cruiser, which combined with its generous 68-gallon fuel capacity, gives the boat more than enough range to really get away from it all and make the most of its ability to explore.

Numerous features appreciated by experienced boaters include and enclosed head with shower; freshwater sink; lockable cabin doors; opening cabin windows with screens; high-output bilge blower; insulated ice/storage box; stainless-steel bow rails; aluminum deck hatch with screen; and walk-through windshield with bow access steps.

Boarding across the ample swim platform and through the transom gate places you at the wet bar. Besides a storage compartment, the unit also contains a fire extinguisher alcove in a centrally located spot -- where anyone can reach it in a hurry.

Two more small but welcome touches are Koozie-size drink holder rings (with notches to accept coffee mugs), and a 6-inch countertop cutout that serves as a handhold.

Opposite, a small, built-in cooler that drains overboard is integrated into a countertop that separates the two portside seats.

This wide-open somewhat unconventional, angled helm/cockpit layout adds a sense of space and roominess so the 250CS feels as accommodating as a much larger boat.

The mid-cabin is accessed between the galley and the stairs leading to the main cockpit. Although snug, it is comfortable and offers a level of privacy.

In addition to all these standard and optional factory touches there are several improvements and modifications conceived and crafted by the current owner, a veteran and intrepid excursion boater, professional diver and licensed captain who has driven this boat far and wide, including almost a dozen trips to Block Island.

For example, he installed an engine hot-water heated forced air heating system for the helm foot-well and cockpit areas for cruising on those chilly November and March days at the season's bookends.

A shore power system with transfer switch to on-board 2KW inverter capable of powering the reverse-cycle A/C system as well as the other electrical accessories.

He replaced the standard electric stove with a dual electric / alcohol unit... because he actually does cook aboard and you seldom have shore power where he goes.

Other little touches... led lighting everywhere, a cup holder here, a railing that converts the top of the kitchen cabinet to a useful shelf, an extension panel for the counter, all done with such elegance that they are not noticed as departures from the original design but instead planned all along, and if not, they should have been.

Information On Condition

The vessel is in excellent condition and fastidiously maintained by the owner.

Kept primarily out of the water and flushed every time it is hauled.

All interior and exterior cushions are in excellent original shape, the interior ones almost always covered and the exterior benefiting from the fact that the boat has a full, pulpit to stern canvas cover, always installed when not in use, thus virtually none of the usual UV damage to upholstery and dashboard elements.
