Founded in 1936 in Kelso, Washington, by Robert Merland Tollefson (better known as Tolly), Tollycraft was known as a builders of fine quality cruising boats well suited to the waters of the Pacific Northwest. While the company was not a large manufacturer, its hand-built boats were prized for their attention to detail, and that quality garnered the brand many loyal fans. In fact, owners went on to form several Tollycraft Clubs to share their enthusiasm for the brand.
Seattle naval architect Ed Monk, who helped design the boats with Tollefson, called them the "Cadillac of yachts" in 1987 when the company was sold. At that time, some 6,000 hulls had been produced and the company's premiere 61-footer sold for $750,000. Tollycraft models were no longer in production by the late 1990s.
According to the seller, this 30 foot Tollycraft Express Cruiser is in good condition for it's age. The owners have done many upgrades to the vessel including updating the engine.
This is a steal for the price.
