1996 Formula 382 SR 1 High Performance in Landing, New Jersey

Stock #042210

Standing at the rear of this 1996 Formula 38SR1 are two gleaming and newly painted Mercury HP 500's. Climbing aboard the transom swim platform you get a perfect view of this streamline and shinny craft. The gleaming white cushions beginning at the stern, cover the entire engine compartment which is expansive and impressive perfect for an aft sundeck. This boat looks like new. The condition of the cushions is excellent. Looking over the aft sundeck you notice 4 built-in head rests for the back seat.

The stitching and custom upholstery beckons you to check out more of the boat. Climbing into the back seat and sitting down is both comfortable and luxurious. You fell like you want to lounge and stay awhile. As you look around admiring the sleek space ship like feel of how the lines curve and flow you can't help but look at the front seats. They are curvy, overstuffed and beautifully white. Looking toward the front you notice the impressive console and it invites you to check it out.

The captains and mates front seats have power bolsters on both sets of armrests as well as the power foot well rests. As I slide into the captain's chair my seat is already in the down position allowing me to stand leaning into the back enveloped into the chair with my legs on the comfortable foot well rests, which are powered. I instantly grab the wheel feeling as if I'm already driving this go fast boat looking down the runway of the bow. It is almost as if I feel the energy of the boat in this position. The console has numerous gauges and buttons. I push the button which opens the engine compartment...

The engines are 2008 re-builts Mercury HP 500's for 550 horsepower which ONLY have 65 hours on them. The lower units are Bravo 1's with a 4 blade SS props. As expected the engine compartment and engines are clean as can be.

The electronics feature a Kenwood CD/Stereo system, a Garmin GPS (not shown -2yrs old), XM hook up, and VHF.

I move to the entry of the cabin below and decide to explore. As I step down into plush carpet which is in like-new condition I glance to my left and notice a compartment door which reveals a refrigerator. Moving down the port side I come across the galley top, sink, trash bin, and microwave below and cabinets above. I slide into the aqua colored U shaped seating cove which reminds me of the comfort of a limousine with the bolstered back rest. The interior is NEWLY replaced 2 years ago with new bolsters and a new headliner. Sliding to the center of the sectional I look toward the stern to take in the entire compartment. I notice overhead halogen lighting and controls for heating and air conditioning. On the starboard side is cabinet configuration for storage and beyond I notice a tall door. Opening the door next to the entry is the clean head compartment and shower. It features a head with a vac-u-flush system. Above is a Kenwood stereo system and AMP mounted underneath. Forward in the bow is a curtained area for possible berth accommodations and it has 2 hatches. In the entire cabin has 4 hatches allowing sunlight and great air flow. Looking over the expansive front bow it was sanded and clear coated just recently. The cockpit cover is NEW as well.

The trailer is a 1996 Hostar bunk type featuring a storage locker and an 85 gallon wash down system, 3 axles, 3 disk brakes, and spare tire. The trailer is hot-dipped galvanized and Imron painted in white in excellent condition.
