This 1996 PowerPlay 33 exudes every bit of cool that came with the "go fast" boat era with the power to back it up.
The upgraded triple Mercury 250's are a total of 150HP over the stock triple 200 set-up for this boat. The motors were converted over from salt water use in 2008 by the current owner and since then have been exclusively used in fresh water in the Midwest.
As part of the re-power, all new gauges were installed in the helm. The hour meters were added at this time and only reflect the number of hours of use since being installed.
There is plenty of room below deck to get out of the hot Summer sun for a quick nap but this PowerPlay was built for speed and does not have cabin air conditioning.
The deck is spacious and in addition to the bolstered Captain's seat there is a matching passenger seat as well as a U-shaped bench around the cockpit.
The exterior of this 1996 PowerPlay 33 presents well for a 24 year old go fast boat. There is a hairline crack in the port side gelcoat above the water line (pictured) but no signs of water below deck.
The decals on both the hull and motor covers are removable if the new owner wished to go in a different direction; however, there is no peeling or excessive fading so they could easily remain in place as well.
The under decking for the transom U-shaped seating area will need to be replaced. It was thin material to begin with to cut down on weight and after 24 years of use the back corners are showing softness. This all is represented in the pictures as best as possible.
Overall the boat would benefit from a good cleaning and detailing but the mechanical areas of the boat have been well maintained and seem ready to go from day one of ownership.
