This 2008 Ahoy Houseboat is ready to be your home away from home on the lake or river. The structure is designed and built like a travel trailer sitting on a pair of pontoons vs. an axle and wheels. This houseboat comes completely outfitted to sustain a couple or small family for days without having to go ashore.
As you enter off the stern deck through the Jeld-Wen double pane patio door there is a double bed to starboard. A TV/DVD player is there for your enjoyment as well. Beneath the bed you will find many of the components such as the two house batteries, inverter, macerator, hot water heater, circuit panel and a few more goodies. Easily accessible, clean and organised.
Moving forward, a double door hanging closet and a refrigerator/freezer are to port. The fridge/freezer combo operates on electrical or propane.
To starboard is the head with a toilet, stand up shower, a sink and mirror. There is ample room to move around when stepping out of the shower or standing at the sink.
Continuing forward you enter the full galley equipped with a 3 burner propane stovetop and oven. To starboard is a 4 person dinette that easily converts to a berth. A microwave and coffee maker is situated behind and above the dinette. There is ample storage space in the galley with pull out drawers and shelving for easy access. There is a second TV/DVD player that can be enjoyed from the galley, while sitting at the helm, and even from the bow deck.
The helm station is just in front of the galley and offers a fantastic view. Almost 270 degrees. A monitor is mounted from the ceiling that allows the operator to view what is going on at the stern.
As you leave the galley and helm, step through another sliding glass door onto the bow deck where you find a gas grill and a nice covered deck for lounging or maybe trying to catch dinner.
All windows and doors are double pane glass. The doors are Argon filled.
If this is not enough, climb aboard the top deck using the aluminum ladder at the stern. There you will find an open deck area with a binimi. The aluminum railing is collapsible for transport. This is also the access area for the sliding board. There is a handy water valve to keep a fresh supply of raw water on the board for loads of fun and entertainment.
A Westerbeke 5Kw generator is included but has been removed due to needing rebuilt.
All systems that could be tested worked as designed. Per the owner, the remaining systems functioned as designed.
Could use a little organization and maybe a wipe down but other than that the overall condition was better than expected.
60-day Sea Tow membership* comes standard with your boat purchase!
