The owner shared the following about their 1978 Gibson 50:
The owner said, she feels their 1978 Gibson 50 houseboat is decent shape for its age and everything is functioning on their houseboat.
The owner said their houseboat is currently in the water.
The owner shared their houseboat has been maintained twice a year. Each year the houseboat is fully winterized; tanks emptied, etc. The houseboat is wrapped each fall for the winter.
In the spring it is serviced and opened for the spring and summer seasons. All service on this houseboat has been performed by the marina where the houseboat has been since purchase.
The owner shared the houseboat can turn on a dime; it turns so quick with the two motors, it's amazing! The houseboat has been out on the Mohawk River about 6 years ago. The marina has transported the houseboat on the river to take it to their maintenance facility a couple times since purchase.
The owner shared; as owners, we have opted not to drive it since it is larger than we are accustomed to transporting on the water. As our home away from home; we opted to use our houseboat as our house on the water and relax on it; we enjoy it better that way!
A must see vessel, due to its open floor plan, many windows and size! Owner said the 1978 Gibson 50 houseboat always seems larger than in photos. The houseboat is very bright and cheerful due to the vast amount of light that comes in due to the many very large windows all around the houseboat!
