This underpriced 75 Foot Custom Sharpe Houseboat will catch a lot of investor's eyes. Many are looking for Sharpe Houseboats specifically for their reputation for quality, luxury and history of decades of low maintenance service. Investors are swooping the pristine used Sharpe Houseboat market and placing them in vacation active locations such as Myrtle Beach, Key West and New Orleans to just name a few.
The majority of the National Football and Baseball league stadiums are located near waterways and boast an active marine economy. Once docked these vessels remain docked with no Captain and are operated as a Bed and Breakfast, renting out for $350 - $600 per night. That's quite a bargain and a wonderful experience compared to the average cramped hotel room. A party of 4 or 6 and even 8 can have the privacy and comfort of home, on the water, in the quiet surroundings of a marina, just off the beaten path. Waking up to hearing the water slap up against the boat, the occasional seagull and the fresh air coming in off the open water is a mini vacation experience compared to living out of a suitcase, in a tiny room, in an overcrowded hotel or resort.
Even though Sharpe Houseboats are large, most marinas have space for one or two and sometimes a few ship size vessels, giving the savvy investor an opportunity to lock down the market by snapping up those locations. In the southern "hot spot" vacation locations, some investors have borrowed from the hotel/resort "Time Share" business model, selling ownership of the boat one week at a time - giving buyer's ownership of a waterfront vacation home at a fraction of the cost. With the 12-15 "out of school" weeks considered to be the peak weeks, they sell from $40 - $50,000 for rights to live aboard and vacation. As owners they may operate the boat recreationally and take it anywhere they like (with or without a Captain's license). If an owner chooses to go one step further and become commercially licensed as a Captain, he can also operate the boat for cruises and/or move it to other anchored locations for commercial passengers interested in vacations away from the marina.
One of the great benefits of this business model is that typically there are only 8-15 owners, so they all end up knowing one another. This makes it easy to switch weeks whenever it is necessary. The owner association can create whatever agreements they choose to manage their shared vacation resort on the water.
The remainder of the year the Sharpe Houseboat is managed as a Bed and Breakfast offsetting the maintenance and overhead, allowing the owners to utilize the accommodations as much as they wish based on the way the owners set up their ownership agreement.
With the aluminum hull, rails and sturdy ship craftsmanship the Sharpe Houseboat will be the vacation destination for water loving families, for decades to come, in a port near you soon.
This vessel was specifically built for the current (original) owners with all the extra features for living aboard. After 7 years of bliss living aboard, they have purchased a riverside condo and have moved off the boat. They are selling because they know they will not be spending nearly as much time aboard as they used to.
Special energy saving features include: full energy efficient insulation package (walls, windows, doors, floors, ceiling), robust geothermal central heat and air, thermal tinted windows, and special design features that allow natural light to flow through internal rooms.
Other special features include: 3 spacious staterooms, 6 person hot tub on party deck, modern kitchen with full size kitchen appliances, full size washer and dryer, 2 full baths with showers, modern electric toilets, and an odorless Coast Guard approved Type II AHEAD Marine Sanitation System.
Built for living aboard, you can move it any time you long for new scenery. This Sharpe Houseboat is in excellent condition - almost mint condition. Motivated to sell, the owners want to slip back so they can get something smaller to use as cruise charter. In the meantime, this one is currently bringing in income as a bed and breakfast - just 2 or 3 bookings a month, but enough to ensure cleanliness and readiness at all times.
Also, it is important to mention that this vessel is not land locked and the owners are willing to negotiate to allow for plenty of time to move the houseboat to its' new home.
Don't miss out on this one of a kind "home away from home" Sharpe Houseboat.
