When you are ready to sail the coastal waters of B.C. and beyond, choose this classic ketch for fun, freedom, adventure and discovery and to be the basis of your fondest memories on the water. This ketch would also make a great live-aboard as it has many amenities for living comfort.
This vessel is a one-off custom Alan Mason design, ketch rigged and over-built with additional strength and insulation by John Warrington, North Vancouver, B.C. The rudder is keel hung, ideal for northwest coastal cruising with all the loose logs floating in the Strait of Georgia.
As you board the vessel, you will notice the wide side decks and high, solid toerail for safety at sea. The cockpit is deep and well protected and fitted with a hard fiberglass dodger and acrylic windshield.
The cabin interior is bright and clean featuring 4 large windows and 6 opening ports with eyebrows and flexible wind scoops and screens. The interior boasts the use of teak, rosewood and cedar finishes with ample amount of lockers, drawers, cabinets and storage space.
As you descend the companionway staircase, you are met with a well-equipped galley on your left with a rare 4-burner propane stove, double sink and a quarter berth on your right. Moving forward is a salon/ dinette with convertible seating and stowable table. Beside the settee is a hide-away chart table. Further forward is an enclosed tiled head with toilet, vanity sink and hand shower. The stateroom forward features a large V-berth.
An additional non-foiled forestay has been installed to carry a hanked-on, furling light wind sail for single-handed ease.
Don't miss out on your opportunity to own this well cared-for custom ketch sailboat.
All mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems are in good working order, except the refrigeration system needs to be recharged with R-134a refrigerant.
The vessel boasts a newer Yanmar 55 HP diesel engine, 3000 W inverter, DCS VHF radio, Sunbrella sailcovers, lithium iron phosphate house battery, 2 Group 27 starter batteries, wiring throughout including two-12V 12 circuit panels, 110V AC-6 breaker panel.
Fresh bottom paint was applied June 2022.
The cabin interior is in better than expected condition.
