This 1982 Island Trader is ready to head offshore on an extended cruise today. She is in excellent condition and obviously has been very well cared for and maintained.

A 2008 53 HP Yanmar diesel was installed in 2008. This was a new, out of the box engine and not a rebuilt engine. The burn rate on this engine is approximately a gallon an hour while cruising at 5 knots.
There is plenty of room below with a max of 6' 8" and a minimum of 6 '4" headroom. There are 3 separate sleeping areas with the V-berth forward and the convertible dinette to port midship, and a half berth to starboard midship.
The full Galley consists of stove, oven, microwave, sink, fridge and freezer.
The 10 stainless steel portholes and 2 butterfly skylights keep everything light and airy throughout.
There many extras added that only an experienced long-range cruiser would know to add. These include seven 2 or 3 speed winches, solar panels, autopilot, battery charging capabilities, and a water maker. All in all a great design in excellent condition. A must-see to appreciate.
This vessel appears to be in great condition bow to stern. The owner has maintained it beautifully and has records of all work done during the time he has owned the boat, which is 15 years.
Everything works according to the owner. It could probably use a bottom job, although the owner had a diver clean the bottom every 6 months and replace zincs when needed.
