1986 Whitby Boat Works 42 Ketch in Port Washington, Wisconsin

This center cockpit, cutter-rigged ketch has two cabins and 2 heads! Beautiful boat, always well-maintained and kept indoors in the offseason, the owner confirms.

Air conditioning is ducted to all areas in cabins was installed in 2019! Autopilot and hydraulic switches added in 2012.

The bimini and full dodger are for great lakes weather protection.

This comfortable-cruising offshore boat is great for long range or short trips. There is a 12-gallon hot water tank, heated by the engine or via 110v power, this was new in 2018.

There is an Airhead composting toilet aft and a freshwater / seawater flush toilet forward.

Information On Condition

This Whitby appears in great condition, maintained, and was stored indoors in the off-season the owner confirms. Sails, while not new, still have a great deal of life in them. When repainted in 2015 a few blisters in the hull were found, so entire hull below waterline was sanded and imperfections or blisters repaired and 9 barrier coats of epoxy were applied before repainting.

This boat was used in Florida saltwater in the beginning of its life and was eventually brought to the Great Lakes.

Upgraded standing rigging (2013). Additional main halyard installed (2013). Harken Cruising II roller furler, foil, halyard, and outhaul (2013). All teak topside stripped, sanded, Cetol Nartural Light applied Cockpit seating teak grout removed and replaced with "Teakaflex."
